How Much Does it Cost? Your IPG Checklist

March 09, 20263 min read

Now is the perfect time for you to turn your curiosity about moving to Canada into real action. You're no longer just an IPG, but a very important IPG ready to take action! A V.IPG!!

I am all about getting you credible, no-fluff information so you can make smart decisions and skip the anxiety.

Let’s dive into the elephant in the room: What's this gonna cost?

That's the million-dollar question, right? It's also the #1 roadblock and barrier for IPGs pursuing this dream. Poor planning & navigating bad information is expensive, both in money and in motivation. I'm here to make sure you succeed.

Here's your V.IPG Checklist to get ready for Canada

1. Immigration: Entering the IRCC Express Entry pool is FREE; however, some of the requirements have a cost. These include immigration fee (e.g. PR application fee- approximately $1500), medical examination fee, biometrics fee, police record fee and language test fee. See what the costs are for these documents in your home country.

2. Relocation: The Canadian government needs assurance that you won't struggle immediately upon arrival. This means you need to show Proof of Funds: savings that can support you and your family for your first six months in Canada. Here is a link to see what this looks like for your family size. This cash is to support you until you find a job in Canada. Start saving towards this immediately.

3. Licensing: This consists of 5 parts.

  1. Register in Pharmacist Gateway. Enrolment fee is $385. Explore steps here

  2. Submit Document Evaluation. 2026 cost is $715. Apply here

  3. Complete PEBC Exams [2026 costs: E.E.- $910, MCQ- $855, OSCE- $1,915]. See fees here

  4. Complete jurisprudence & internship (cost varies by province)

  5. Register as a Pharmacist (cost varies by province)

Costs are based on the 2026 listed values

4. Prep-course & Mentorship Costs:

These are your personal investments to help you succeed. PASSing your PEBC exams often requires both. Why?

A prep course is a condensed format of the content-dense PEBC syllabus that helps you to focus on targeted & relevant information specific to Canadian practice, saving you time researching what you need to study. It is often complemented with question practice. Cost per exam: $1000-$1500

IPG Mentorship Canada provides expert guidance, community & accountability to keep you on track with your study goals & get you PASSed! It also gives structure to help you complete the PEBC syllabus at least 3 times.

Cost per exam: $1050

Key Takeaway:

Your Immigration process is SEPARATE from your re-licensing process.

Don't feel pressured to tackle both at once!

  • You can start re-licensing first.

  • You can start immigration first.

  • You can do both at the same time!

They only overlap when you're almost ready to register as an intern or Pharmacist.

So what do these costs add up to?

Immigration: This is unique to your family size and country of origin. Use the links provided to tally up your total cost.

Re-licensing (Estimated Total in CAD):

$12,000 (with prep course + Mentorship)

$8,800 (with prep course only)

$4,800 (exam fees only)

If you have questions, get in touch with me.

I'm excited to discuss your Canadian re-licensing goals further.
