Is IPG Mentorship Canada Right for You??
You’ve probably seen the posts, read the testimonials, and wondered to yourself:
"Is this mentorship actually right for me, or is it just more noise?"
I love that you're asking that question because you shouldn't invest into anything without first knowing exactly what you are stepping into. So today, I want to go deep into the operational mechanics of how IPG Mentorship Canada works, answer your most frequently asked questions, and help you make an honest, informed decision for your licensing journey.
The First Big Question
"Is Mentorship Just a Fancy Word for a Prep Course?"
Let’s nip this confusion in the bud right out of the gate: No. Absolute, resounding no.
If you step into IPG Mentorship Canada expecting a teacher to stand in front of a whiteboard reading through 100 slides on hypertension, you are going to be very surprised. That is what a prep course does.
Here is the fundamental difference:
Prep Courses = Raw Data & Content: They give you clinical content, lecture recordings, and giant banks of practice questions. They provide the what.
Mentorship = Strategy, Structure & Execution: We give you the operational blueprint, personalized accountability, pacing schedules, and mental conditioning. We provide the how.
We teach you how to digest that overwhelming mountain of information and execute it under high-stakes exam conditions.
Think of it this way.
A prep course hands you the heavy gym equipment. Technically, you can use the equipment and get results, through as serious of YouTube and TikTok videos trial and error, you can achieve the fitness goals you desire. Maybe.
Mentorship on the other hand is your personal trainer. An expert standing right beside you, fixing your form, designing your daily routine, keeping you from injuring yourself, and making sure you actually show up every single week. A trainer significantly increases your odds.
Why We Don't Provide Primary Study Materials
Mentorship & your prep course aren't opposing forces. Actually, this is a symbiotic relationship. Each needs the other to perform optimally. One rule of our mentorship is that you must be concurrently enrolled in a prep course of your choice to join us.
Why? Because excellent prep courses already exist in the Canadian market, and they do a fantastic job of compiling raw clinical knowledge.
The problem across the industry isn't a shortage of study notes. Most International Pharmacy Graduates (IPGs) do not fail because they lack study materials, they fail because they are drowning in them. You don't need another 300-page PDF to clutter your desktop.
You need a system that brings the resources
you already paid for to life.
We take your existing prep course, strip away passive reading habits, and build an actionable, week-by-week strategy tailored specifically to your life, your weak spots, and your target exam date.

How the Mentorship Actually Works
Our 16-week Mentorship isn't a passive lecture series; it's a high-touch operational framework divided into three distinct execution windows:
Phase 1: Intro to Content (Weeks 1–10)
This is where we lay down the foundation and eliminate all the guesswork. Instead of staring at hundreds of lectures and wondering where to start, I bring your existing prep course to life with a detailed weekly plan of action.
Specific Study Hours: We outline the exact number of hours you need to study each week based on your personal life commitments (work, family, health).
Question Benchmarks: We establish the exact volume of practice questions you need to complete, review, and analyze weekly.
Systematic Goal Tracking: We build a structured study plan that tracks your daily progress, uncovers your hidden clinical weak spots, and holds you accountable so you never fall behind.
Phase 2: Summaries & Exam Strategy (Weeks 11–14)
It’s time to stop reading passively and start executing. In Phase 2, we teach you how to condense lectures into elite, high-yield summary assets.
Blueprint-Specific Worksheets: You begin working through specialized worksheets built directly around PEBC blueprint competencies.
Active Strategy Conditioning: We shift your focus from "What is the answer?" to "How do I deconstruct what PEBC is actually asking me?" You practice applying your clinical logic directly to the exam format.
Phase 3: Final Execution & Physical Prep (Weeks 15–16)
The final home stretch is all about high-speed performance optimization.
Mock Exam Reviews: We run strategy mock reviews to fine-tune your pacing and decision-making under simulated pressure.
Conditioning Your Body & Mind: An exam like the PEBC is a physical marathon. We prepare your physical stamina, focusing on sleep cycles, mental exhaustion management, and anxiety regulation, so your brain doesn't shut down during hour four of the test.

Group Practice, Schedule & Reality
Let’s answer some of the most common prompts I receive from candidates who want to know the logistical details:
What time are the classes?
First, let’s reframe this: This is NOT a traditional prep course, so there are no "classes." You are not paying for someone to read slides to you. This is a strategic plan for success designed to optimize the tools you already have.
Do you have group study sessions?
Yes, we do. Our weekly question practice is a highly interactive group session that happens on Sunday evenings. As the exam period intensifies, a second weekday session (typically Thursday evenings) is added to sharpen your execution under pressure. Weekly group calls are strictly dedicated to active question practice and exchanging knowledge, giving us a collaborative space to discuss tough concepts, sharpen communication skills, and learn from each other's reasoning.
When is the 1-on-1 Bi-Weekly Check-Ins?
These private sessions are scheduled every two weeks, at a time that is mutually convenient for both Mentor and Mentee. You don't have to worry about rigid, unyielding time slots interfering with your work shift. In these sessions we sit down to audit your study plan and performance. If you're falling behind or hitting a wall in a specific topic, we dynamically course-correct your plan immediately so you don't waste weeks doing the wrong thing.
Monthly Check-Ins (Emotional Wellness)
We prioritize your holistic health and our monthly check-in provides exactly that. You cannot pass a high-stakes exam if your mental health is in the gutter. Our monthly group touchpoints give us valuable insight into the emotional wellness of the group. We discuss burnout, imposter syndrome, stress, and family balance, ensuring your spirit stays intact while you prepare.
Candidate Criteria: Are You a Good Candidate for Mentorship?
Mentorship is not a silver bullet, and it isn't a passive entertainment stream. I am extremely protective of our Mentees' outcomes and our community's energy, which means this program is designed for a very specific type of International Pharmacy Graduate.
Here is the exact criteria that makes an IPG an ideal candidate for our Mentorship:
You Are Concurrently Enrolled in a Primary Prep Course: This is a non-negotiable mandatory requirement. Our mentorship does not issue primary textbooks or raw information databases. You must be enrolled in a reputable primary prep course of your choice so that you have access to baseline clinical notes and question banks. We do not teach you pharmacology from scratch; we teach you how to master, organize, and execute the material sitting inside your prep course portal.
You Suffer from "Resource Overwhelm" Rather Than Lack of Effort: If you have 10 different PDFs open, three question banks, four textbook tabs, and zero idea how to sequence your day, you are our prime candidate. You don't need more information; you need a system to digest what you already have.
You Are Coachable and Ready to Drop Passive Reading: If you believe that highlighted notes and re-reading chapters 5 times will get you a PASS, our program will challenge you. You must be open to being audited, tracking your study hours honestly, submitting weekly action plans, and actively participating in group discussions.
You Want a Personal Strategic Partner, Not Just a Question Bank: You are looking for a mentor who knows the pain of failing, who will analyze your personal weak spots, hold you accountable when you slack, and course-correct your strategy every 14 days.
You Care About Practicing in Canada, Not Just "Passing an Exam": You understand that PASS-ing PEBC is just step one. You want an end-to-end concierge who will also guide you through what comes after, from internship placement logistics to thriving on a Canadian pharmacy floor.

Is This Your Next Step?
I failed my PEBC Evaluating Exam twice before I figured this out. I moved to Ontario in February 2024 and became a licensed pharmacist by December 2024 because I stopped collecting study materials and started mastering execution strategy.
Since then, I’ve mentored over 200 IPGs with an 80% success rate that continues to grow with each cohort. The formula works because it is tailored to you.
