IPG SAVINGS CHECK-LIST

Phase 1: The "Home Country" Foundation

Complete these before you land to save on living costs in Canada.

• Pharmacists’ Gateway Canada: $385 (Your National ID).

• Language Proficiency (IELTS): $300–$400.

• Document Evaluation Fee: $715

Phase 2: The "Exam Prep" War Chest

This is the most expensive phase & the Phase most IPGs get “stuck” in.

Passing the first time is your biggest money-saver. Rewrites are expensive- both time & money. (costs are based on 2026 values)

• Evaluating Exam (EE) Fee: $910 (complete from home country if possible)

• MCQ Exam Fee: $855 (complete from home country if possible)

• OSCE Exam Fee: $1915.

• Prep Course (per exam): $1000-2000

• Mentorship (per exam): $1050 (Think of this as "failure insurance").

Phase 3: The "License Finish Line"

This is the home stretch. You are working in a pharmacy now, but you still have fees to cover.

• Intern/Provisional Pharmacist Application: $500 – $700 (Varies by province)

• Jurisprudence Exam: $200 – $450 (Law & Ethics exam for your specific province)

• Professional Liability Insurance: $200 – $300 (Mandatory before you start your internship)

• Final Pharmacist License Submission: $800 – $1,300 (Your annual permit to practice)

Key note: Many pharmacies will pay your Pharmacist license and liability insurance fees once you are employed with them full-time
